Meet Rafael Bonetta, hailing from Freiburg im Breisgau, a charming city nestled in Germany’s scenic Black Forest. While Muay Thai is Rafael’s current passion, he also spent 10 years mastering the piano—talk about talent! He’s currently engrossed in The Wolf of Wall Street and has a deep appreciation for the timeless compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven. As for food, nothing tops his mom’s duck breast with red cabbage, mashed potatoes, and a rich wine sauce.
Rafael’s growing interest in intellectual property law brought him to KASS, where he is now undertaking an internship to broaden his legal knowledge. He’s sharpening his research and analytical skills while gaining hands-on experience that will shape his future career.
We asked Rafael to share his thoughts on the experience so far, and here’s what he had to say…
What degree are you pursuing, and why did you choose it?
I am embarking on a degree in International Business this October, with plans to complete both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I chose this path because it provides the unique opportunity to learn Mandarin and spend two semesters abroad, most likely in Shanghai. The idea of completing my master’s degree entirely in China or another international destination is especially exciting. I look forward to immersing myself in different cultures, not only for personal growth but also for the career opportunities it could open up abroad. This global outlook aligns perfectly with my long-term goal of working internationally and gaining diverse experiences in the business world.
What motivated you to choose KASS for your internship?
I spent months searching high and low for the perfect internship, combing through countless opportunities, and carefully researching every company I found. Just when I was starting to think that the ideal internship might be a myth, I stumbled upon KASS. The moment I learned about it, I was blown away by its stellar reputation and the exciting, innovative projects it’s involved in. It felt like fate had led me straight to this hidden gem!
‘I’m also grateful for the connections I had through mutual industry contacts, which helped pave the way for this opportunity. My time here has been incredibly rewarding!
