Meet Sokhna, our intern from Toulouse - France.<\/strong>\u00a0After building a solid background in B2B sales, she decided to return to her studies to pursue a more structured and international career in communication and marketing. Eager to gain hands-on experience in a multicultural and fast-paced environment, she chose KASS International for her first professional steps in Malaysia.<\/p>

Sokhna quickly embraced life in Kuala Lumpur, enjoying its energy, cultural diversity and vibrant business ecosystem. She particularly appreciates spending time in the city, exploring new neighborhoods and discovering local culture. Throughout her internship, she worked closely with both the Marketing and Sales teams, contributing to international and digital projects while gaining a deep understanding of the ASEAN market.<\/p>

We asked Sokhna to share her thoughts on her experience so far, and here is what she had to say.<\/p>

What degree are you pursuing, and why did you choose it?<\/strong><\/p>

I have recently completed and validated a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Marketing. I chose this degree as part of a career transition, with the goal of strengthening my skills in digital marketing, communication strategy and international business. After previous experience in B2B sales, I wanted to build a solid academic foundation aligned with today's global and digital market needs.<\/p>

What motivated you to choose KASS for your internship?<\/strong><\/p>

I was drawn to KASS International because of its strong international positioning and its expertise in intellectual property and market development across Asia. I was looking for an environment where I could work on real business challenges, gain exposure to regional markets and grow professionally within a multicultural team.<\/p>

How has your experience with KASS been so far? What specific skills or experiences do you hope to gain?<\/strong><\/p>

My experience at KASS has been extremely enriching, both professionally and personally. On the professional side, I worked on digital marketing and content projects, including website management on WordPress, SEO and AEO research, Google Ads and social media reporting, as well as content creation and repurposing for LinkedIn. I also supported B2B sales activities, such as international trade shows, prospecting, CRM follow-ups and client meetings, which gave me a clear understanding of the full sales cycle.<\/p>

Beyond the technical skills, what truly stood out to me was the human aspect of the experience. I had the opportunity to share great moments with the team, especially during the end-of-year celebrations, team-building weekends and company dinners. These moments allowed me to discover and enjoy Malaysian specialties, strengthen relationships with my colleagues and feel fully integrated into the team. This balance between performance and human connection made my experience at KASS particularly meaningful.<\/p>

What are your passions or interests in life?<\/strong><\/p>

I am a very active and sporty person. I practice Muay Thai in Bukit Bintang, which helps me stay disciplined, focused and energized. At the same time, I also enjoy more relaxing activities such as yoga and sound healing, which allow me to maintain balance. I love spending time in nature, going on hikes, and sharing quality moments with my friends and family, especially around a good meal.<\/p>

Do you have a favorite musician or band?<\/strong><\/p>

My favorite band is N.E.R.D, with Pharrell Williams. I really admire their unique blend of hip-hop and rock, as well as Pharrell's professional journey. His ability to stay relevant across different industries, from music to fashion, and his current role as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton, is a great source of inspiration for me.<\/p>

Have you enjoyed any Netflix shows or movies recently?<\/strong><\/p>

I am a big fan of The Office and regularly rewatch episodes. It is a timeless series that I enjoy for its humor and light tone, and it is my go-to show to relax after busy workdays.<\/p>
